The site is located in Konakkuran Beldesi; 28 km north of the district of Malazgirt in the province of Mus. It lies on the right bank of Murat River and measures approximately 150x150x25 m. The site is destructed by the modern settlement. It is also known as Bayraktepe Höyügü. The mound was investigated together with Adalar and Adaksu mounds in 1999 by A. Özfirat during the survey of Mus Province. Typical Early Transcaucasian pottery sherds were collected. The sherds are generally medium and coarse sand tempered; and the majority is moderately and underfired. They are cream and brown in color and almost all of the examples are burnished. These materials are parallel those encountered from the other Early Transcaucasian settlements of the region. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It was visited during the survey conducted by Biber-Çavusoglu in 2011. It measures 120 m in diameter, the east section is 15 m and south section is 11 m high. There are architectural remains exposed as a result of the illicit diggings on the southeast corner. Black slipped, brown and tile red wares belonging to EBA and IA sherds were recovered from the surface [Biber-Çavusoglu 2013:304].
